John was born to Jeremy and Rebecca Greenhill Adams in Hartford, Connecticut August 26, 1638. John married Abigail Smith (both young, they needed permission from their parents to marry). John died at age 32, his wife remarried. John and Abigail had seven sons and daughters the youngest born shortly after John's death. John Adams was the only child of Jeremy's to have kids.
