Burial
Benedict was buried in Old Norwichtown Cemetery, Norwich, New London Connecticut. His wife and their son the 1st Benedict were also buried there. Around 1880, both Benedict's monuments were removed. At that time there was extreme hatred for their son [their 2nd son named Benedict], traitor to the Revolution. Hannah Waterman, the mom and wife is still buried there.Endnotes
