The will of John Risley of Hartford proved 2 Sept. 1755, gave a third of his estate to his wife, and named his son, John Risley; daughters, Elizabeth, Hannah, Mabel, Thankful, and Martha; and son Timothy. Jonathan Risley was a witness.Occupation
Ferryman, for several years and operated a ferry, which took members of the church, living east of the Hockanum river to the house of worship, for which the church at different intervals paid him sums of money.Endnotes
