Edmund Littlefield

(1592 - December, 1661)

Edmund was born in England, there he married Annis Austin. Edmund on his own arrived in Boston probably in 1637. Annis and children followed in 1638. The family went to Wells, Maine where Edmund built the first sawmill and probably the first home. He was a grand juryman and took the Oath of Allegiance in Wells. He and Annis had children including a son Francis who disappeared then reappeared in America, maybe. Edmund wrote a will and left his estate to wife, sons Francis Junior, Anthony, Thomas, Francis Junior2, and John; to daughters Elizabeth Wakefield, Mary Barrett and Hannah Littlefield Cloyes.
