John Tefft
(Abt, 1615 - January 26, 1676)
John Tefft came to America before 1646 when he was given land. His brother William was a tailor in Boston, they may have emigrated together. John Tefft lived in Kingstown RI. His son Joshua was hanged for fighting on the side of the Indians in King Philip's War. John left a will naming his son in law executor. This son in law was married to Mary Tefft, they inherited everything except the 3 shillings he left for his other 3 kids: Samuel, Tabitha and Joshua.
