Maxine Potratz and Derwood Leach were married June 5, 1935 at St. John's American Lutheran Church at Sumner. They are the parents of seven children: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Leach, La Porte City; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Leach, Waterloo; Mr. and Mrs. James Leach, Monticello; Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Leach and Mr. and Mrs. Randy Leach of Fredericksburg; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Leach of Oelwein and Linda Leach of Chicago, Ill.
