(9 Jul 1810 - 23 Oct 1851)

Kim can you explain how Marie died in 1851 in Oberhoffen and is buried there and shows on the 1855 NYS census ?
Jim Stewart Shabbona IL. ( I'm married to a Miller descendant ! )

I obtained that info from an Ancestry tree. I just checked it. You are correct, the 1855 census data should have been attached to his second wife, not the first.

I'm a Miller descendent, Christian Miller was my 3rd great grand uncle on my mother's side. Martin Miller (Mueller) was my 3rd great grandfather. He was born in Oberhoffen in 1821, and settled in Colden, NY. In 1877, he picked up and moved to Wisconsin with some of his adult children. I went to his gravesite in Wisconsin. Lots of other relatives buried there and living ones as well. I snapped photos of anyone there that was named Miller. Husband now knows I'm nuts.

Thanks so much for the attentive eye.
