Chicago Tribune obituary says he was "a retired thoracic surgeon and professor of thoracic surgery at Northwestern University. . . . He was a native of Danville and a former resident of Oak Park. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign and his medical degree from U. of I. Medical School in Chicago. He had offices in the Loop. Survivors include his wife, Grace; two sons, Roger and Jerome; and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday in Phoenix."
