Conover: Conover Family (p. 25): He "was among the first enrolled as a member of the Church."On January 29, 1661, he obtained a Patent of lands at Flatlands, Long Island. He was a leading man in the community, being several times Justice of the Peace and once a Judge.
"He was appointed by Governor Lusler, Captain of Cavalry of Kings County."
