"On March 27, 1717, ferry priveleges were granted to Hendrick Hendrickse and Isaac Hansen to and from their respective landing places on Long Island and State Island with right to take tolls for 21 years. (MS Hist. of N. U., p. 492)
"Hendrick Hendrickse was a deacon in the Reformed Dutch Church of New Utrecht in 1720. (MS. Hist. of N. U., p. 931).
"On Apri 18, 1718, Hendrick bought for 350 pounds a farm of 250 acres in Monmouth County, N.J. (Monmouth Co. Conv., Liber E, p. 289), according to ESKC, p. 140. He also bought other land in that vicinity. Later he appears to have removed to Middletown, Monmouth County. On Oct 9, 1738, letters of administration on his estate were granted to his son Hendrick, of Middletown."
