According to her obituary in The (Danville, Illinois) Commercial-News Grace Rife Parrish lived to be 105 years old, only two months shy of 106. She was preceded in death by her son, Floyd, and survived by her daughter, Ina, plus six grandchildren, Cindy Highfill, Nathan Rife, Mark Smith, David Smith, Chrstine Burke and Brian (Jill) Smith, 12 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Grace "retired from the Grab It Here Store in Rossville in 1964. She was a member of the Rossville Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed crocheting, tatting and gardening. She mowed her own yard until the age of 95, and on her 100th birthday she was raking leaves."
