Israel Watson Martin
(1 Mar 1829 - 21 May 1889)
Dr. I. W. Martin is Postmaster at Ervin (1883) and has been since its establishment in 1862. He is also one of the pioneer physicians and old settlers. (History of Howard and Tipton Counties, p. 298).
Dr. Martin has been (1883) for many years the principal physician of the township. He is still in the enjoyment of a large practice. (History of Howard and Tipton Counties, p. 300).
He was a physician. (Kelker's History of Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, p 421).
