On 17 Feb 1848, John Nichols applied to the Probate Court of Kosciusko Co., Ind., for the sale of the interest of his wards, George W. Nichols, Anderson Knox and Virginia Knox, in two tracts land in Elhart Co., Ind. On 17 May 1848, the "undivided three fourteenths" of the land was sold for $150 to Richard D. Knox.Endnotes
