George and Mary reared a family of 14 children on the farm of Mr. Joseph HEWITT in
Morrison's Cove on whose farm he lived for a quarter of a century. George
lost the sight of his eyes by an explosion in a stone quarry on Piney Creek.
After which he made his living by giving entertainments on a Graphaphone.
