Jacob Cox Family
Jacob Cox was born around 1727 in New Jersey. He migrated to southern Virginia in the mid 1700's first settling in Halifax County. By 1780, he had taken his younger children to northeastern Tennessee while his older children traveled to the northern section of the border between South Carolina and Georgia.
