From Biographical Directory of the Tax-Payers and Voters of McHenry County (Published 1877): "FREEMAN, HANNAH M., Mrs., Widow of J. H. Freeman, who died April 24, 1868 ; he was born August 3, 1821 ; she was born in New York, January 11, 1823; came to McHenry Co. in June, 1843; resides in Marengo village, owns property there. Was married January 31, 1847 ; has three children living."
In the 1880 Census she is living with her daughter, Isabel Ross, in Coral, McHenry County.
In the 1900 census, widowed Hannah is living with her daughter Isabel Ross in Troy, Pipestone County, Minnesota. It indicates she had seven children before 1900 and that two still lived. If recorded correctly then only George and Isabel are living in 1900 and three children are not accounted for in census records.
