Amos G. (probably Garrett) entered the Civil War from New Haven, Olmsted County, Minnesota on 11 October 1961. He enlisted in Company K, Minnesota 3rd Infantry Regiment. He died of a disease while serving in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee. On 25 August 1881 his father, Garrett S., started receiving his Civil War pension.
