John, Jr. BOWEN

His obituary indicates he had three brothers and four sisters and one sister survives him.
Sometime between the official 1840 Census enumeration date of 1 June and December, the family moved to Coral, McHenry County, Illinois. Their daughter Angeline was born there in December but even more telling, son Franklin indicated in a brief biography that it was 18 October.
In 1850, 1855, 1860 and 1865 the family was living in Coral.
In 1870 the family was living in Waverly, Bremer County, Iowa.
His obituary was printed in "The Republican, Waverly, Iowa - June 1st 1876, Page 5." It indicates he had eight children four of whom were still living.
