From Mary's memorial in Find A Grave: "esearched and posted by Valerie (Reed) Boyd her great niece: "She was born Daisy Belle Reed to John Henry and Mary Ann (Eaton) Reed in near Blue Springs, Gage, Nebraska. She was placed in the Des Moines Orphan Home in Des Moines, Iowa; sometime between 1900 and 1902. She was adopted by Daniel and Sabina (Marble) McCrystal in 1902. Her first husband was William Scott, of McGregor, Iowa. They were married Apr 1912. This marriage record list her adoptive parents. Her second marriage was to David Trumble "Trum" Vaughan, 21 Jan 1918. This marriage record list her biological parents. I think she was adopted due to her mother's (epileptic) failing health. I have found her name in documents listed as:
