"TRIMONT—Service for Edwin “Jim” Potter, 94, of Trimont will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Waverly Lutheran Church in rural Truman. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Potter died Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the Fairmont Community Hospital. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. until noon Saturday at the Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont. There will be no reviewal at the church.
Edwin Jefferson Potter was born to Edwin J. and Julia L. (Osborn) Potter on Nov. 20, 1896, at his parents farm home in Waverly Township where he spent his childhood and attended school in District 88 in Galena Township, Martin County. He attended and graduated from the University School of Agriculture in St. Paul in 1917. He married Myrtle Davidson on June 9, 1920, at the home of his parents in Waverly Township. After their marriage they farmed the family farm known as “Potter’s Corner” and operated with his sons in their Potter Truck Line, later retiring to Trimont in 1957. Mrs. Potter died on Dec. 18, 1967. He [the remainder of the obituary was not received]."
