"SARAH E. (OATMAN) FREEMAN , 89, of 215 E. 3rd St., Rock Falls, died early Thursday morning at Community General Hospital. Mrs. Freeman was born April 23, 1874 in Prophetstown, the daughter of Henry K. and Mary Frankenfield Oatman. She was a member of the Rock Falls Methodist Church and the Class Loyal. The Freeman's operated the Freeman's Hemstitching Shop for many years. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Bessie M. Dell, with whom she made her home; one son, Adelbert Freeman of Rock Falls; one granson, V. Clair Freeman of Rock Falls; four greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents; her husband, Vernon; and one brother, Ben Oatman. Funeral services will be Saturday at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Rev. J. C. McMahon, Associate pastor of Dixon Methodist Church officiating with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Friends may call at the funera home after 2 p.m Friday."
