"Mrs. Stevens was a school teacher before her marriage. He had a Livery Barn in Polk, Nebr. and was Rural Mail Carrier at Polk for ten years. In 1919 Mr. and Mrs. Stevens moved to Garden County, near Lodgepole, Nebraska where he engaged in wheat farming and cattle raising."
In the 1910 Census, the family lived on Poplar Street, Pleasant Home, Polk County, Nebraska.
