Levi FRANCIS

In the 1820 Phelps, Ontario County, New York Census, Page 297, there is listed Levi Francis and Daniel Marble. Also in 1820 there is an Aretus and Levi Marble living in Chagrin [in 1835 renamed to Willoughby], Ohio.
In the 1830 Census Levi, Daniel Marble and Aretus Marble are living in Kirtland, Gaeuga County, Ohio. Levi Marble and Solomon Marble are living in Chagrin. It is yet to be determined the connection of the Marble family members other than Abigail, wife of Levi Francis.
In 1833 Levi was elected Supervisor of the Highways in Kirtland Township, Geauga County, Ohio. [Note: In 1806 Kirtland Township was moved from Trumball County to Geauga County in an Ohio reorganization. It remained there until 1840 when it was moved to Lake County. In 1968, Kirtland Township became Kirtland Village and in 1971 the Village became the city of Kirtland.]
In the 1840 Census, Levi is in Kirtland Township and there are ten people in the household; a male and female between 50 and 59 (Levi, Abigail), a female between 30-39 (Harriet), a male and female between 20-29 (Delilah, ?), 2 males and 1 female between 15-19 (John, Lucy), 1 male and 1 female under 5 (?, ?).
In the 1850 Census, Levi is living in Kirtland Township, with Abigail and children John, Lucy, and Harriet. Living with them are believed to be Susan (b. 1835) and Charles Devine (b. 1836) [their surnames are listed as Francis] but the relationship to the Francis family is unknown [2015].

Birth
The 31 August 1783 date is a baptismal date. Page 374, Volume 122, Part 1, West Hartford, of the Connecticut Church Record Abstracts [references a Volume 1, Page 76] indicates only that his father is Mr. Francis.
A 31 August 1782 birth date is in the Latter Day Saint Genealogy Internet Database.
Death
The probate administrator, H. H. Morse, under Probate Court records of Lord Sterling, dated 22 March 1860 indicates "deceased late of Kirtland" in death of Levi Francis. Other names mentioned in execution of the order are Samuel Metcalf, Joshua Hobart, and Turner Shepherd.
