In the 1870 Census the family is living in Cresco, Kossuth County, Iowa.
In the 1880 Census the family is living in Lotts Creek, Kossuth County.
In the 1895 Iowa Census the family is living in Kossuth County.
In the 1900 and 1910 Census Samuel and Susan are living in Union Township, Emmons County, North Dakota. In 1910, Samuel's brother Joel I. is living with them.
