The Last Will and Testament of David Jones of Penyrallt, Llangeitho.(St David's 1854. SD/1854/121 W)
He gives to his son Evan two cows and house furniture that his wife Jane can spare when Evan marries or leaves home.
He gives to his daughter Sarah two cows and chamber furniture such as his wife Jane thinks proper.
He gives to his daughter Mary the sum of £17 in addition tothe £3 pounds she has already received to total £20 (£1,170.60 in 2005) to be her marriage dowry.
All the residue, real and personal, he gives to his wife Jane. He wills and orders that Jane maintains and keeps his son Thomas for life. If Thomas outlives Jane then he is to receive £12 (£702.36 in 2005) a year from the rents of the freehold property of Penyrallt. After the death of his wife Jane then income from Panyrallt is to go to his children Sarah and Evan (and their heirs) who are instructed to continue the £12 annual payments towards the maintenance of son Thomas.
He gives the parcel of land known as Caetanffordd being part of Penyrallt to his grand-daughter Jane (daughter of Mary).
