Will
The Last Will and Testament of David Davies of Pentrerichard, Llanddewi Brefi.(St David's 1851. SD/1851/153 W)
The will was made on the 2nd of April 1851 by David Davies of Pentrerichard, Blacksmith.
His wife Mary is the sole executrix.
He leaves all land and property at Pentrerichard in Gorwydd, Llanddewi Brefi to his wife Mary Davies and after her death all will go to his youngest son Benjamin and his heirs except for the blacksmith shop at Pentrerichard which will go to his son William and his heirs. If Benjamin should die before he reaches the age of thirty years then all should go to his son William and his heirs. If William should die then all will go to his son Evan and his heirs.
Gifts.
To his daughter Mary he gives £20.00 (£1,170.60 in 2009)
To his daughter Margaret he gives £20.00
To his son Evan he gives £20.00
this when they reach the age of twenty-one or when they get married.
To his son John he gives one shilling. (£2.93 in 2009)
To his son David he gives one shilling.
To his daughter Jane he gives one shilling.
To his daughter Anne he gives one shilling.
To his son Thomas he gives £20.00 paid when he reaches twenty-one or when he marries.
All the above monies to be paid by whomsoever is in possession of the properties.

The will was proved on the 24th of May 1851 in the Consistory Court of the Diocese of Saint David's at Carmarthen.
