They were married by John's uncle, the Reverend W D Williams, rector of Trefnant. He was assisted by Canon C J Hamer, vicar of Ilkley. Thebride was given away by her father. The bride's maids were Katleen's sister Mildred and John's sister (Dorothy) Sylvia. The best man was Kathleen's brother Arthur D Gledhill. The groomsman was Captain E C Ferriera of Hawksmoor, Windermere. The reception was held at The Middleton Hotel, Ilkley.
