The will was made on the 8th of November 1834 by Jenkin Williams of Abercoed.
His wife Anne Williams and son David Williams are the executrix and executor.
Gifts and legacies.
He gives to his eldest son John Williams five shillings. (£12.37 in 2005)
He gives to his second son Daniel Williams £40.00 (£1,979.60 in 2005)
He gives to his son Thomas Williams £40.00
He gives to his son James £100.00 (£4,949.00 in 2005) when he becomes twenty-one.
He gives to his only daughter Anne Williams £100.00 when she becomes twenty-one.
He gives to his youngest son William Williams £100.00 when he becomes twenty-one.
The above legacies to be paid by his executrix and executor out of his personal estate.
He also gives to William Evans of Garth and John Rowland of Ystrad Caron and their heirs all of his freehold and copyhold lands in trust.
He gives all his remaining estate and lands to his wife Anne Williams and son David Williams, as long as they live at Abercoed. If the personal estate is insufficient to pay the above legacies then the freehold and copyhold lands are to be disposed of by his executrix and executor. This to be vetted by William Evans of Garth and John Rowland of Ystrad Caron.
The will was signed and sealed by Jenkin Williams on the 8th of November 1834.
Witnessed by David Evans of Abercarvan and William Rees of Tregaron.
Proved at Llanybydder on the 4th of August 1835, J Davies Surrogate.
