Actual birthdate is in question. In the 1920 Census in Chicago he claims he was born in 1892. Ship arrival in 1907 list age as 11 (1896), Naturalization reads May 15, 1894, 1930 Census he claims he is 34 making it 1896. SS5 and death certificate read May 15, 1894 which is the date we are using. In rural Russia it was common for actual birthdates to be unknown. Most births and deaths were recorded as so many days after a certain holiday, and as days in Jewish calendar vs Julian calendar change yearly it is difficult to assure exact date.
