Jean Marie Garnitz, 47, of Germantown, died April 30, 2004, of renal failure at her home. Born June 16, 1956, in Washington, D.C., she was a daughter of the late Robert H. and Rita (DuRivage) Watson. She was the wife of Dan Garnitz. She worked as a secretary at BAE Systems for 23 years . In addition to her husband, Mrs. Garnitz is survived by a sister, Yvonne Brownlie of Germantown. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church, 6900 River Road, Bethesda . Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852. Arrangements were made by Pumphrey's Colonial Funeral Home, Rockville.
