EDEN - Sylvia "Jean" Terry Jeffries, 76, of 153 Pratt Road, passed awa y W e dnesday night, July 1, 2009, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. A f u n eral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 6, at Hampton Hei g h ts Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, R e i dsville. Mrs. Jeffries was born March 13, 1933, in Rockingham Cou n t y, daughter of the late Clyde and Mae Morrison Terry. She was a membe r o f H ampton Heights Baptist Church where she participated in the "Will in g W orkers". Mrs. Jeffries was a retiree of DuPont in Martinsville. I n a d dition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cu rt i s Jeffries and grandchild, Amy. Surviving are her children, Phyl l i s J. Meyer and husband, David, of Summerfield, Dewayne Jeffries and w i f e, Lesa, of Starkville, Miss., and Ken Jeffries and wife, Terri, of J a c ksonville, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Kate, Leah, Meredith, Maggie, a n d L ibbie Jeffries, David and Jake Meyer; sister, Jacquelyn Harvey of E d e n; and brother, Doug Terry of Eden. A special thanks is extended t o R e v. D. M. Dalton and his wife, Mickey; also to Judy and Mac Jones, B ud a n d Doris Jones, Steve and Sherry Grogan and the members of Hampton H ei g hts Baptist Church for their continued love and friendship. Also a t h a nks to Jamie Jeffries for being there to lend a helping hand. The f a m ily will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. on Sunday evening at Ham p t on Heights Baptist Church and other times at the residence.
