NOTE:
Enlisted in the Confederate Army March 2, 1861 at Cove Creek Arkansas. He served in M.S.G. Company B, Hughes Regiment, Slacks Division until August 20, 1861. Served on General Stewart's body guard until Sept. 22, 1861. Served in Company F, Thompson's Regiment, Steens Division.
Listed as a Prisoner of War on the rolls. Paroled at Vicksburg, Mississippi July 4, 1863 after taking an oath not to take up arms again against the U. S. He was captured again at Blakely, Alabama April 9, 1865. He was exchanged as a prisoner at Camp Townsend May 6, 1865.
