NOTE:
James W. Tinder, age 32 of Platte County, Missouri served in the Mexican War at Fort Leavenworth as a teamster under Wagon Master James King. He was employed July 5, 1846 until 29 Sept. 1846. Drove a team from Fort Leavenworth, Kansas to Bents Fort, Arizona. He served under Lt. Stevens and was discharged by Captain L.C. Easlin. He applied for bounty land and received 160 acres on 23 March 1858.
