Bathsheba
( - )
Bathsheba was the wife of Uriah the Hittite (and granddaughter of Ahithophel one of David's counselors). After King David saw her great beauty, he seduced her, and got her pregnant. King David then arranged for Uriah to be killed in battle. This unnamed bastard child died as part of God's judgment against her adultery with King David. Bathsheba then became the eighth and favorite wife of David. She was the mother of Solomon, who succeeded David as king.
