Miscnote
Only four references to Leib Gershon Isaacson have been discovered. The first one is the inscription on Harris Isaacson's gravestone at the Jewish West Side Charity Gate 12 #139 Chicago, Illinois. The second is Harris Isaacson's death certificate. This data was given by his son, Leonard, who indicated that although he did not know his father's birthday, he stated that: Harris Isaacson was born in Lithuania; Harris Isaacson's fathers name was Louis Isaacson who was also born in Lithuania; and that Harris Isaacson's mother, whose name is unknown, was also born in Lithuania. The third reference is on the marriage application of Harris Isaacson, which states his father's name is Louis. A fourth reference is Jennie Isaacson's death certificate which lists Leib Gershon Isaacson of Silale, Russia as her father.Aunt Bobby [Sarah Isaacson Roller Cohen] always said that Harris Isaacson had a sister who married a Mincer and then moved to California. I have found a record of the marriage of Jennie Isaacson to Jacob Mincer. In addition, I have found them in the 1920 census. and it states that Jennie is from Kovno (Kaunas) Lithuania and so were her mother and father. (Silale is located in Kovno Geburniya. Jacob Mincer is from Suwalki.)

An 1846 Tax and Voter List lists Leiba z Zusman as the "owner of house in which Shamshel Borukhovich has cheder". There is also a reference to the type of record which is "Bulletin of Jewish Educational Institutions-owners of Primary Kheders".Census (family)
A revision list record from 1858 in the All Lithuanian Database lists Leyb Gershon Itsykzon, son of Zusman, age 28, residing in Silale, Raseinia Uyezd, Kaunas Guberniya. Also listed is his wife Tema Ita, age 30; a cousin Sora Itsykson age 9; and a daughter Sore Mine Itsykson age 4.Miscnote (family)
