The following obit appeared in the June 5, 1981, Cleveland Jewish Press:"PAUL SPIKE, together with his late wife, owned and operated grocery and
beverages stores in various locations for about 45 years. Mr. Spike died on May 29 at his apartment at Council Gardens. He was 76 years old. Before retiring eight years ago, Mr. Spike owned a beverage store on Lakeshore Blvd. for six years. His wife, the former Anna Mushkatil, died six year ago.
They had been married 45 years. Mr. Spike came here from Russia as a teenager. He is survived by two daughters, Arlene Spike and Anita Glickman; three grandchildren; a sister and three brothers. Contributions may be made to the Paul and Anna Spike Memorial Garden c/o Jewish National Fund."
