There is a mystery about his birth. After he filed his draft registration in Feb 1942, In sep 1942 he registered his birth date in Cook County Ill. However, the 1930 censuses reports his birth as "at sea".Census (family)

On February 16, 1942 he registered for the World War 2 Draft at Draft Board 60 in Chicago, Illinois. He was living at 4845 N. Kedzie Ave. and was working for the Yellow Cab Co. He listed his wife, Adele, as the person who would always know his address. He was 5 ft 8 in tall and weighed 200 pounds. He had brown eyes and black hair. He gave July 15,1904 as his birthday.Death
