The following obit appeared in the December 19,1963, Chicago Tribune:"Albert L. Park, 65 years old, 2435 W. Lunt (of Valpo Drugstore, 4958 W. Chicago), beloved husband of Lottie, nee Kaminsky; loving father of Mrs. Leatrice [Emanuel] Wesber and Mrs. Vivian [Raymond] Levin; four grandchildren; fond brother of Libby Cotton, Goldie Jameson, the late Edward, and Louis. Services Friday, 11 a. m., at Weinstein Brothers Chapel,1300 Devon. Member of Chicago Retail Druggist association, Chicago Drug club, and B'nai Brith. Visitation Thursday evening. RO 1-2400."

The following article appeared on December 26, 1963, on page 2 of the Chicago Daily News:Valpo Drugs Owner Dies Suddenly
Long-time Austin druggist Albert L. Park, 65, died last Wednesday after suffering a fatal heart attack in front of his store Valpo Drugs, 4958 Chicago. Mr. Park had just returned from lunch when he collapsed on the sidewalk before he could enter the store. Firemen of ambulance 15, Laramie and Chicago, summoned by Manny Wesber, Mr. Park's son-in-law, quickly responded but all efforts to revive the pharmacist failed. Funeral services were held Friday morning in Weinstein Bros. North Side chapel. Interment was in Westlawn Cemetery.
A native C h i c a go a n , Mr. Park, who made his home at 2435 Lunt Ave.,, graduated from the University of Illinois School of Pharmacy in 1919. Following graduation he became owner of a drug store at Chicago and Western. In 1940 he acquired Valpo Drugs which he operated for the past 23 years. He was a member of the Chicago Retail Druggists association and the Chicago Drug club. The business will continue under the management of Wesber. Survivors include his widow, Lottie; two daughters, Mrs. Leatrice Wesber and Mrs. Vivian Levin; two sisters, Mrs. J Libby Cotton and Mrs. Goldie Jameson and four grandchildren.
