John Hubbard
(1630 - 1706)
John Hubbard emigrated with his parents George and Mary (Bishop) Hubbard first to Watertown, Massachusetts and then to Wethersfield, Connecticut. He married Mary Merriam who was from Concord. The couple had four children in Wethersfield before relocating to help form Hadley Plantation in 1659. Five more children were born there. In 1683 he and his youngest son Isaac moved across the river to Hatfield, where he lived adjacent to the Hill Cemetery.

In his will, John Hubbard has bequests for the following persons: loving son John Hubbard, loving son Jonathan Hubbard, loving son Daniel Hubbard, loving daughter Mercy wife of Jonathan Boceman, daughter Mary (she is not loving) wife of Daniel Werner, loving daughter Sarah wife of Samuel Cowles, loving son Isaac, "all my grandchildren" living within one year of his decease, and loving wife Mary. Sons John and Isaak are executors.Death
