Property
On 9 November 1808, Nathaniel B.Brown was of Sherburne when he purchased a parcel in Sherburne in subdivisionof lot 47 in Sherburne from John Watts of New York city for payment of $120. On3 February 1810, Nathaniel for payment of $220 purchased an adjoining propertyfrom Ephraim Whitney. On 7 October 1820, Nathaniel purchased 23 acres from JohnWatts and on 1 June 1825, 25 acres from Elijah Foster. On 24 September 1827, hemade a one-acre purchase from Sylvester Scoville and purchased forty acres fromAzel Welch on 2 December 1828.[1]On 2June 1819, Nathaniel and Dilla Brown sold part of lot fifty-one to David Smithfor $450. Nathaniel B. Brown and his wife Dilla sold thirty acres to DavidMiller for $360 on 3 February 1830. On 1 April 1840, Nathaniel and Dilla, inconsideration of $2,334, conveyed 63 acres from lot forty-seven to JuliusCatlin.[2]
On 12 December 1849, Harvey Brownand his wife Mariah sold property in Sherburne to Nathaniel B. Brown forpayment of $600. On 28 December 1850, Nathaniel B. and Dilla Brown and Harveyand Mariah Brown sold property in Sherburne to William R. Brezee.[3]
On 3 April 1854, Harvey Brownand Maria his wife, Ezra Brown and Harriet his wife, Dilla Brown. Lewis Wickhamand Dilla his wife all of Sherburne, and Electa Raymond of Columbus, Warren County,Pennsylvania conveyed property from the estate to Seneca Rixford and JoshuaPratt for payment of $416.67. On 1 April 1854, Harvey and Maria sold additionalproperty to Seneca Rixford and Joshua Pratt for $500. On 12 April 1854, WilliamAvery acting as special guardian for Almeda R. and Harvey Brown, minors,conveyed property to Seneca Rixford and Joshua Pratt.[1]
