Signers of the probate documents include the following persons: Abner Stow, Jonathan Newton, Jonah Stow, Moses Hayden, John Minot, Mercy Hayden, Benjamin Fay acting as guardian for three of the heirs, and Jonathan Grout acting as guardian for one of the heirs. Other forms are signed by Simon Stow, Fortunatus Banks, and Ephraim How, but it not clear that these last three are heirs. But Simon Stow is identified as a son of Samuel elsewhere in the documents and he is acting as administrator of the estate.
