New Hampshire, County Probate Records, 1660-1973, Hillsborough, case 0174; 37:262, 41:177; 41:1; 37:442; 46:79Timothy Ames did not leave a will and his estate entered probate 5 August 1835 with Timothy K. Ames as administrator as the widow declined administration. Real estate was valued at $350 and personal estate at $141.22 which included a violin valued at $12. The personal estate was not sufficient to settle the demands against the estate and the real estate was sold to settle the estate. Widow Sally Ames received an allowance from the estate of $141.22 (value of the personal estate) on 3 November 1835. The real estate was sold for $300. After the debts were paid, there was a balance of $179.87.
