Of his Revolutionary service, in addition to that of April 19, 1775, he was commissioned as lieutenant in Captain John Poole's 2d company, 1st Essex County regiment, April 26, 1776. It is doubtful whether he saw active service after the 19th of April, 1775.
His will was admitted to probate October 13, 1806, and he is buried in the old Saugus cemetery.
His first marriage was to Sarah Viall 29 November 1771.
