On 2 September 1799, Abraham Peirce, yeoman of New Salem, with wife Ruth sold to Proctor Peirce of Greenfield a tract of land in New Salem for payment of $500. On 29 March 1803, Abraham Pearce sold to Elihu Pearce, yeoman of New Salem, a tract of land in New Salem for payment of $345. On 12 November 1803, Abraham Pearce conveyed to Warren Pearce, gentleman of New Salem, a tract of land in New Salem of about 20 acres for payment of $300 (transaction witnessed by Emily Thayer). On 8 May 1807,Abraham Pearce conveyed to Elihu Pearce a tract of land in New Salem for payment of $1,000. On 23 March 1809, Abraham Pearce quit claimed his interest in an 80-acre tract of land in New Salem to Varney Pearce, Esq. of New Salem for payment of $560.[1]This last transaction is likely with Abraham’s brother Varney.[1]Massachusetts Land Records, Franklin County; 13:315; 20:215; 25:18; 25:294; 26:297
