Henry Sewall
(1614 - 18 May 1700)
Henry Sewall, son of Henry Sewall and Anne Hunt, born Coventry, England 1614 and died May 16, 1700 aged 86 years. At age 20, he emigrated to New England on the ship Elizabeth and Dorcas. He and wife Jane and her parents returned to England where several of their children were born. He returned to America and later sent for his family to join him in Newbury. They returned on the Prudent Mary.

The will of Henry Sewall has bequests to the following persons: beloved wife Jane, son Samuel, second son John, third son Stephen, son-in-law Jacob Tappan and daughter Hannah Tappan, daughter Jane Sewall, son-in-law William Longfellow and Ann his wife, fourth daughter Mehitabel, and youngest daughter Dorothy. Sons Samuel and Stephen are executors.In the will there is also mention of property in England that was previously deeded, but the writing in very difficult to read.
