In his will written 29 October 1864 (probate 23 May 1865), Larkin Holt bequeathed his real property to his four sons leaving specific directions as to how the property was to be divided. Sone were eldest son James L. Samuel H., Thomas P. and William B. John H. Brookhouse was named executor. The homestead property in Cambridge was valued at $3,333.33 and a lot of marshland was $600. Personal property was $213.02.1
