Ithamar did not leave a will and his estate entered probate 12 May 1813 administered by eldest son Nehemiah of Peacham, Vermont as the widow declined administration. Real estate was valued at $755 and personal estate at $685.68. On 16 June 1813 widow Mehitable was allowed $150 in value of personal items from the estate for the support of life. The personal estate was not sufficient to pay the claims against the estate and it was declared insolvent on 20 October 1813. The dower was assigned to the widow 4 April 1814. The real estate except the dower was sold to settle the estate. After the payment of debts and charges, the balance of the estate was $177.32.[1]
