Individual Details
Philip Gage
(1743 - 1780)
Philip Gage was a loyalist during the Revolutionary War and his property in Woodbridge was confiscated. The land was forfeited when he did not appear for a Court action in 1779. His wife Jennet was the highest bidder on the sale of his property. She apparently was not a loyalist and is known for raising the Stars and Strips in Woodbridge shortly after the end of the war.
