Obedand Elisabeth Abbot were of Shutesbury on 9 January 1779 when they sold thisproperty to John Fuller of Chesterfield for £800.[1][1] MassachusettsLand Records, Hampshire County, Franklin Land Grants, 3:155, 3:156Obed Abbott was of Brookfield on 29 May 1776 whenhe gave a deposition apparently related to a land dispute.112:521On 20 March 1765, ObedAbbot of New Braintree sold six acres in New Braintree to George Nye forpayment of £10. On 26 October 1772, Obed Abbott of Brookfield purchased 89acres in Brookfield from Pynchon Charles of Springfield. On 1 December 1773, ObedAbbott conveyed a parcel in Brookfield to Tilley Rice.
