Probate Court (Oxford County); Probate Place: Oxford, Maine, Estate Files, Asa Abbott-John Akley, 1822-1854, probate of Philip AbbottIn Philip Abbott's will written 1 April 1831, wife Experience Abbott receives the use of and income from one-third part of the homestead farm during her natural life. He gives one dollar to each of the following children: Susannah Virgin wife of Rufus Virgin, Betsy Baxter widow of Joseph Baxter, Philip Abbott, Jr., Levi Abbott, Sophia Parlin wife of Simon Parlin, and Charlotte Abbott. The rest of the estate goes to son David Abbott who is also named executor.
